Prerequisites
Before enabling public monitoring, ensure your enterprise has:
- GitHub Advanced Security or GitHub Secret Protection enabled
- While not necessary, we recommend having at one verified domain configured (see Verifying or approving a domain for your enterprise) in order to get the full value for the feature.
Enabling public monitoring
- Navigate to your enterprise. For example, from the Enterprises page on GitHub.com.
- At the top of the page, click Settings.
- In the left sidebar, click Advanced Security Code security.
- Under "Additional Settings," toggle Public monitoring.
