Beginning November 1, 2025, knowledge bases will be 已停用 and fully replaced by Copilot Spaces. 空格 let you combine code and free-text content—like transcripts or specs—and can be created by any Copilot user, not just organization owners. About knowledge bases
Organization owners can create knowledge bases, bringing together Markdown documentation across one or more repositories. Organization members can then specify that knowledge base as the context for GitHub 中的 Copilot Chat, Copilot 对话助手 in Visual Studio Code, and Copilot 对话助手 in Visual Studio.
When you ask a question in Copilot 对话助手 with a knowledge base selected, Copilot will search the knowledge base for relevant information and synthesize a response.
