You can create cost centers to attribute usage and spending to business units, improving accountability, forecasting, and cost allocation.
If your account is billed through Azure, you can add an Azure subscription to a cost center to bill usage to a different Azure subscription than the enterprise default.

Cost center allocation
비용 센터에 측정된 지출을 할당하려면 리포지토리, 조직, 사용자를 비용 센터에 추가합니다.
- GitHub Actions와 같은 요금제 제품의 경우, 비용 센터의 리포지토리 또는 조직에서 사용량이 발생하므로 해당 비용 센터에 요금이 청구됩니다.
- GitHub Copilot과 같은 라이선스 기반 요금제 제품의 경우, 비용 센터에 속한 사용자에 따라 비용이 청구됩니다.
비용 센터는 요금제 사용량에만 적용되며, 볼륨 또는 구독 청구에는 적용되지 않습니다.

Cost center limitations
- The maximum number of active cost centers per enterprise is 250.
- The maximum number of resources per cost center is 10,000.
- A maximum of 50 resources can be added to or removed from a cost center at a time.
- Azure subscriptions can only be added to or removed from cost centers through the UI.
