Copilot policies are also managed at the enterprise level. If your organization is part of an enterprise, and explicit settings have been selected at the enterprise level, you cannot override those settings at the organization level. For more information on managing policies at the enterprise level, see Managing policies and features for Copilot in your enterprise.

Copilot 코딩 에이전트 and use of third-party MCP servers are disabled by default for organization members assigned a GitHub Copilot Enterprise or Copilot Business license by your organization.

Organizations with Copilot Enterprise or Copilot Business can enable these features for members on the Copilot policies page for their organization. See Enabling Copilot features in your organization.

  • For the "Copilot 코딩 에이전트" policy, select "Enabled".
  • For the "MCP servers on GitHub.com" policy, select "Enabled".

Disabling or enabling Copilot 코딩 에이전트 in your repositories

By default, Copilot 코딩 에이전트 is available in all repositories for users who have access to the agent, but you can block it from being used in some or all repositories owned by your organization.

  1. GitHub의 오른쪽 위 모서리에서 프로필 사진을 선택한 다음, Your organizations를 클릭합니다.
  2. 조직 옆에 있는 설정을 클릭합니다.
  3. 사이드바의 "Code, planning, and automation"에서 Copilot 을 클릭한 다음, 코딩 에이전트 를 클릭합니다.
  4. Use the "Repository access" control to define which repositories allow Copilot 코딩 에이전트.
  5. If you choose "Selected repositories", in the "Select repositories" dialog, select the repositories that allow Copilot 코딩 에이전트, then click Select.

Once Copilot 코딩 에이전트 is enabled for a repository, any user with access to Copilot 코딩 에이전트 and write permission for the repository can delegate work to Copilot.
