Changing your primary email address

To change your primary email address, you'll add a new email, then delete the old one.

This article does not apply to 관리형 사용자 계정. To change your email address as a 관리형 사용자 계정, contact the administrator for your company's identity provider (IdP). Your primary email address is the first one assigned to you in the IdP.

  1. GitHub의 페이지 오른쪽 상단에서 프로필 사진을 선택한 다음, Settings를 클릭합니다.

  2. 사이드바의 "Access" 섹션에서 Emails를 클릭합니다.

  3. If you'd like to add a new email address to set as your primary email address, under "Add email address", type a new email address and click Add.

  4. Under "Primary email address", use the drop-down menu to click the email address you'd like to set as your primary email address, and click Save.

  5. To remove the old email address from your account, next to the old email, click .

  6. Verify your new primary email address. Without a verified email address, you won't be able to use all of GitHub's features. For more information, see Verifying your email address.
